After earning her master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy, and becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she held a number of positions that allowed her to connect deeply with underserved communities, families navigating life transitions, couples, and children. These roles included the provision of Home-Based care with Lifeline Youth & Family Services, Capitol Family Education Services, and later, in-office counseling with Infinity Counseling & Wellness Center.

There is a myth that Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists only work with couples and families. While this is an area of her expertise, Brittany has been trained to work with all demographics. As a LMFT, she will compassionately work with you from a relational perspective. Brittany’s dedication to ensuring that others do not feel alone, uplifting them, and encouraging them to discover the best parts of themselves is what led her to start Serene Life Counseling, LLC, in 2019. Her areas of expertise include youth behavioral issues and parenting techniques, family challenges, relationship conflict, and negative self-image.

Mrs. Brittany Randolph

Founder, Chief Executive Officer

Brittany graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Hampton University in 2010 where she majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Psychology. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies she found herself wondering if Broadcast Journalism, while impactful and a valued experience, would be enough to fulfill her if she continued to explore careers in that field. When preparing for graduate school, the direction she went in was heavily influenced by her childhood memories, experience with counselors and therapists, and a personal understanding of the significance of being understood.

Brittany knew she wanted to be an advocate for the misunderstood – to help others find their voice, and confidently advocate for themselves and the life they deserve. In 2011 she started the Couple and Family Therapy Program at Adler University. She found the experience to be transformative and affirming for her career aspirations, particularly time spent volunteering at a domestic violence shelter in Cape Town, South Africa during the final year of the program.
